It's been a challenging year for everyone but as a charity we are very grateful for all the support we have received which has helped keep many of our projects going as well as our staff in Tanzania employed. Our income has reduced by 62% which means that we have had to reduce the number of water tanks & goat sheds we build and the medical outreach we undertake. We are however continuing to plant thousands of trees in partnership with farmers and upgrade birthing clinics in remote villages.
Last year, our 2.6 challenge raised over £18,000 and was instrumental in funding many of our projects.
This year, instead of the 2.6 challenge, we are joining with many other charities in participating in the Captain Tom 100 challenge.
To celebrate Captain Tom Moore’s amazing achievements and mark what would have been his 101st birthday, everyone’s invited to take part in a fundraising challenge between Friday 30 April and Monday 3 May.
The ‘Captain Tom 100’ hopes to build on the generosity of spirit, hope and joy that Captain Sir Tom Moore spread with his famous 100 laps around his garden.
Graham is going to lift 100kg, 100 times totally 10,000kg over 3 days and Claire is going to do 100 military presses, 100 sit ups and run for 100 minutes over the weekend.
Please join us by setting your own challenge based around the number 100 to raise money for Go MAD and it at any time and anywhere from Friday 30th April through to Bank Holiday Monday on 3rd May. By raising money for Go MAD, you’ll be helping to support many of our projects in Tanzania.
