Volunteer in Marsabit, Kenya
OVERVIEW
Marsabit is located in the Eastern Province and is surrounded by the beautiful National Park and Reserve. The town of Marsabit is situated in a green hilly area in the vast semi desert, with a population of about 5,000. It is 500 kms north of Nairobi and 200 kms south of the Ethiopian border. Our projects here are based in two separate locations. One will take place around Marsabit town and the second project will operate in Laisamis, 100 kms south of Marsabit.

Costs include: all the in-country essentials including accommodation, transport, driver and guide, full insurance, food and water, a full day’s orientation in the UK
​
Costs exclude: flights, visas ($250 for both an entry visa and for a volunteer permit), vaccinations, tourist trips and safari’s or overnight accommodation in Kenya if required
​
Optional excursions: There is the opportunity to go hiking for 3 days in Namunyak. This will cost an extra £400
​
Fundraising: We ask our volunteers to try to raise around £300 before they depart. This will go towards your building projects, medical work, gifts to those in need and more!
